about me
Sierra French
I love to help people connect to their bodies and discover their resilience.
Our bodies are always changing, and with that what we do to support them has to evolve and change as well.
I often work with clients who are navigating pain, injury, hypermobility, or life transitions such as pregnancy and postpartum, and are looking for a more thoughtful and supportive approach to movement.
My work focuses on building a strong, adaptable foundation while helping you better understand how your body moves and what it needs. I want you to feel more in control of your body and confident in a routine that is both sustainable and enjoyable.
I blend of Pilates, Corrective Exercise, and traditional gym exercises to help unlock areas of the body that may not be functioning at their optimal level, contributing to pain or hindering performance.
Movement has the power to reinvigorate.
Throughout my career as a dancer, I had to rethink and reassess my body’s needs many, many times. I had to make changes both physically and mentally to continue with the high demand being put on my body.
I had to change my approach and learn to listen more skillfully to my body’s needs. Through this process, I developed tools and different perspectives of the body and healing that I carry with me always.
It is a great passion of mine to share in others journey of movement and all the joy it can bring to your life.

expands you.
I came to Sierra with significant chronic pain from postural issues in addition to being postpartum. She has been working with me 1-3 x per week up to and through my second pregnancy and postpartum period and not only have I been able to reduce the frequency of supportive therapies, I’ve done it with two kids under 3. She has a dancer’s receptivity and discipline, and has cheered me on through every small gain that now, three years into our work, has had a major impact on what I thought was an intractable problem. I have tried four other private trainers and she is truly the best. Her enthusiasm and endless curiosity have enriched her practice, making it so that whatever energy you invest, you will get back tenfold. She’s truly a gem and you should get on her roster.
SD
I am a dance teacher that has worked as a fitness instructor for the past 10 years. I do not exaggerate by saying that Sierra is the teacher that teaches teachers!
Sierra has an amazingly detailed and warm approach to the student and their body. She easily picks up on their strengths and natural weaknesses and helps bring focus to the necessary work to better align, engage and move the body she works with into a better overall direction. Working with Sierra has helped me become more aware of my alignment as I move through the day and non Pilates related movement. I have gained confidence, improved as a dancer and even as a teacher for my students as a result of my overall improvement!
SR
Sierra is an amazing teacher and a wonderful person. She is knowledgeable about body conditions and makes sure the exercises are safe and challenging. I always feel refreshed and positive after her teaching!
SB
Sierra has a keen eye and a generous spirit that makes working with her a dream. As an older client, I find her positive and reassuring nature insightful and confidence building. She provides a safe space to work and communicates well. I always feel empowered and renewed after working with her.
PF
Sierra is so attune to what each muscle of your body should be doing – it is so exceptional and makes you not only better at Pilates, but holding yourself throughout the day.
HR
Working with @movement.minds has been VITAL to my pregnancy; especially as a hypermobile body. One really needs to find a person that can help gently strengthen and stabilize.
My body would have been completely in pain if I had not been working with Sierra since the first week.
WJ
Sierra is the trainer you hope to find but rarely do. She approaches each Pilates session with an incredible eye for how the body moves, drawing on her background as a professional dancer to understand movement at a truly expert level. She’s constantly fine-tuning exercises so you get the most out of every motion while staying safe.
I’ve struggled with lower back pain, and her thoughtful adjustments have helped me build (visible!) core stability and strength. On top of that, she’s an absolute joy to be around and makes you feel at ease the moment you walk into the studio. If you get the chance to work with her, take it! Sierra is the best!
